INDORE: Ringnod police on Tuesday arrested a roadside sex worker and her five aides, who kidnapped a rich farmer from Ujjain for Rs 4 lakh ransom a few days ago. Those arrested include the kingpin and roadside sex worker 22-year-old Divya, 40-year-old Sharda who operates roadside sex racket and four men Farid, Ram, Devendra and Shankar Lal, all aged between 25 and 28 years. The incident dates back to March 3 night, when the farmer Ram Prasad, 30, a resident of Badnagar (Ujjain) along with his friend Lokendra, visited Divya’s roadside sex den in Ratlam’s Ringnod area. When Divya came to know that Ram Prasad was a rich farmer, she along with Sharda and four men, hatched the kidnapping plot. They took both of them in the duo’s SUV to Chiklana village, about 10 km from Pipliya Jodha. On March 4, the kidnappers freed Lokendra and asked him to tell the farmer’s family to pay Rs 4 lakh ransom to set Ram Prasad free. They asked Lokendra to return with the ransom money in three days, failing to which Ram Prasad would be killed. On the same day, Divya and her aides shifted Ram Prasad into dense forests, 21 km from Chiklana. While Lokendra failed to return with the amount, Ram Prasad managed to flee on March 7. Subsequently, he returned to his native town, leaving the SUV in the jungles. Two days later, Ram Prasad returned to Ratlam with family members and reported the matter at Dodar police outpost. Thereafter, police team conducted raids in Pipliya Jodha and nabbed the accused.
